erasebackground.org is a free tool that removes image backgrounds and objects in your web browser. It is provided for general use, “as is” and “as available”. This disclaimer should be read together with our terms of use and privacy policy.
2. Automatic Results
Background and object removal is done automatically by AI models. Results depend on the image, such as fine hair, glass, shadows or low contrast, and may contain mistakes or rough edges. We don’t guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for a particular purpose, so please check every result before you use it.
Don’t rely on the Service where an error could cause harm, for example for legal evidence, identity documents or official photo requirements, or safety-related work.
3. Your Images and Rights
You are responsible for the images you open, edit and download. We don’t see, review or check them, because they are processed on your device, so we can’t confirm that you have the right to use or change an image. Make sure you have permission, including for any people, brands or artwork shown in it.
4. Edited Images
Images you create with the Service are edited images. You are responsible for how you present and share them, including telling others they were edited where that is required by law, by a platform or by an agreement, and for not using them to mislead.
5. Third-Party Components
The Service relies on open-source software and on files delivered by third parties. The AI models are downloaded from Hugging Face and some runtime files from the jsDelivr network. We don’t control those services, and they may change, slow down or become unavailable. Their own terms and licenses apply to their components. The Service may link to other websites, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
6. Devices, Browsers and Data
The Service runs on your device, so speed and success depend on your browser, memory and graphics hardware. Large images or very large batches may be slow or fail. The first use downloads an AI model of roughly 100 to 190 MB, which can use mobile data, so consider using Wi-Fi.
7. Availability
We work to keep the Service running but don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device. We may change, pause or remove features at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that result from using, or being unable to use, the Service. Nothing here limits any rights or liability that can’t be limited by law.
